Social Media Breakfast - Minneapolis/St. Paul

Connecting over eggs & coffee in the land of 10,000 lakes

first, insanely good turnout, speakers, and overall good time today. genuine respect and appreciation to those involved in the planning and execution of the event.

second, i think it's safe to say we're all either current social media practitioners or curious about how social media can work for our business / clients / pets. maybe not pets, but would there be any interest in having at least one of the speaker slots dedicated to a "here's what i've done" or "here's what i'd like to do" session focused on one real or hypothetical client (as opposed to your entire portfolio)? hearing specific strategies and tactics is another great way to get the creative juices flowing and have actionable takeaways for our work, in addition to the current smbmsp format (and bacon).

just to make sure i get bonus credit for using catchy business phrases, ping me if you want to hotwash some innovative ways to tackle this paradigm shifting concept. /end guy kawasaki reference

thoughts?

I think that's a great idea Matt. I know we are always looking to expand on the Social and Interactive Marketing campaigns for our clients, we would love to share, or be able to pick the collective brain (hmmm....sounds borg-like). Also, maybe we all chip in for a George Foreman for the next SMB so we can have bacon!

I second this motion. I am especially interested, having seen some directly contradictory messages from those advising others on corporate Twitter strategy. Whether we like it or not, companies large and small are going to be interested in taking part in the conversation in some form. If they would only use better form...

I even wrote a blog entry about it back in May 2007: When the Big Guys Tweet.
