Alright all you graphic designers and artistic types, since I'm just an 'ol "IT" techy geek, I didn't get to art school and can't design my way out of a paper bag (what's wrong with brown paper anyway). I'd love to have an "official" logo for SMB-TC!! Something that we can share and use when posting about it or linking to stuff.

Anyone have some ideas? Any suggestions on this site colors and such? There are predefined themes, but there is some freedom to customize some things. Anyone?

Actually, I think a spoon with a cherry by a coffee/tea cup would be pretty "TC" (Twin Cities). That Walker piece is kind of a signature piece for Minnesota.

Nobody else is doing a logo for their local SMB that I'm aware of. We're on the "bleeding" edge. ;)

I just did this one for kicks. There is no connection to the Twin Cities just breakfast.

Here's an idea. Where have people always gathered round to tell stories...a campfire. MN is the land of 10,000 lakes. What about a logo of a campfire with a tripod with eggs and coffee with a lake in the background. Fits in with Rick's tag line too "connecting over eggs & coffee in the land of 10,000 lakes".

I've attached an image of a coffee pot over a tripod as a starter idea.

Kevin, you touched on a rather important feature of MN that we have overlooked. Our love of the outdoors Whether at "the lake", or fishing, or canoeing/camping/hiking - it's been a big part of MN. Darn nice idea to try to incorporate that aspect. Not only are we the land of 10k lake, but don't forget the BWCA as well - very well known natural resource of Minnesota's.
