SMBMSP 11 - Social Media & Job Search

Hi there, it's time again for the next SMBMSP event here in the Twin Cities.

We'll be talking about social media and how it can be used in job search. This is a hot topic during our current economic situation, and I'm sure there are a number of people who will benefit from the discussion.

SMBMSP 11 will be held at the Minneapolis Central Library

• We'll have Paul DeBettignies (@MNHeadhunter) to talk about these things from a recruiter's point of view.
• Rick Mahn (@RickMahn) will talk about Personal Branding and things to think about regarding job search
• Meg Canada (@MegCanada) has a few things to say about the Minneapolis Library

We'll also look at brainstorming ideas for our fellow SMBers and invite you to share job leads on our Forum here on our Ning site.

Currently we do not have a sponsor for this event, so you may want to plan on picking up something for yourself (BYOB - Bring your own breakfast). If we do get a sponsor prior to the event, we'll notify you of that too.

So join us in taking our understanding of social media and applying it back to our own community for job search.

@ Keith, sure 8:30 is fine - we'll be well along at that point though. :)

@PerfectPorridge Don't be too surprised if it's gone... SMBer's are like sharks in regards to bacon - just one piece brings us in from a 20mi radius.

@Kirk We'll see you there - SMBMSP is a great place to network, learn, and share social media ideas.

Less than 12 hours! I just can't wait for SMB, people. It's like Christmas Eve. I'm going to leave out a plate of bacon and see if it's gone in the morning.

Looking forward to attending -- this will be the first breakfast for me as well! Our firm is looking to do much more with Twitter so it will be great to get more tips from a guru like Paul.
